Process of forest restoration in republic was discussed

A serial meeting of the Council of forest restoration and development
headed by the RA Prime Minister happened. The information is received

The Council first discussed and approved the 2012 financial report,
the 2013 lists and the maintenance cost of the executive body.
During previous years, the Foundation established a total of 254
hectares of forest area, built 54 km pipeline and 18 km fence in the
republic.
This year, in spring, the fund plans to implement 31 hectare forest
restoration in the Erebuni district. 20 hectares of forest area will
be formed in Artik region, Shirak province.
Referring to the activities and programs of the forest restoration,
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan reported that Yerevan has a total
of 800 hectares of forest capital. A serious progress is registered in
the forest formation on 56 hectares area next to television towel, 65
hectares of forest was founded in Erebuni region.
In the upcoming years it is planned to implement 200-300 hectares of
forest restoration in capital.
