TO ANALYSTS SERZH SARGSYAN'S FIRST VISIT TO RUSSIA IS NOT ACCIDENTAL

YEREVAN, MARCH 7, ARMENPRESS. The upcoming working visit of
the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to the
Russian Federation is of a certain importance for strengthening the
strategic partnership of the two countries. The Armenian political
scientists, who commented on the upcoming visit in a conversation with
"Armenpress", share this opinion.
Political scientist Alexander Manasyan laid a heavy emphasis on the
fact that Russia is a significant partner of Armenia in both economic
and political respects. Alexander Manasyan stated: "The mere fact that
the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan pays the first
working visit to the Russian Federation tells us about the significance
of preserving and developing our relations with that country."
Political scientist Levon Shahinyan also underscored that the upcoming
visit to Russia is of a certain importance for us. Among other things
he noted: "In all respects it's very positive that a superpower like
Russia has certain commitments towards Armenia and Artsakh and we must
highly appreciate all the steps directed towards the development of
the Armenian-Russian ties."
