ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO MADE A PRESENT OF ABOUT 70 NAMES OF SCIENTIFIC AND COURSE BOOKS TO YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY

The presentation of scientific and course books took place at
the library of Yerevan State University. The books were given by
Rossotrudnichestvo to the University as a gift. The books cost totally
180 thsd rubles and are chiefly foreseen for students and teachers
of the Russian philology faculty. The head of Rossotrudnichestvo
representation in Armenia, adviser of Russia's Embassy in Armenia,
Viktor Krivopuskov, said that partnership between Armenia and Russia
has been extending day by day in all the directions and speaking
Russian is becoming necessary for the youth of Armenia. He also added
that they will go on supporting the key university of Armenia via
replenishing of its library with new books.
Rector of the Yerevan State University Aram Simonyan said that
the interest to the Russian culture and language goes on growing
in Armenia. In this context, it is very much important to organize
study of the Russian language at as high level as possible. Simonyan
thanked Rossotrudnichestvo for another gift (500 books) and for such
an attentive attitude to the university.
