UK HAS GROWING INTEREST IN ARMENIA - DEPUTY BRITISH FM

YEREVAN. - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Monday
received Simon Fraser, the Permanent Under Secretary and Head of the
Diplomatic Service at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Nalbandian noted that, as a result of the more-than-20-year-long
diplomatic ties between Armenia and Great Britain, the cooperation is
put on a sustainable basis and there is an interest toward deepening
it further, MFA press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his turn, Fraser noted that the UK has a growing interest toward
enhancing interaction with Armenia and his visit is yet another step
in this direction.
Nalbandian highly appreciated Great Britain's assistance provided
to Armenia's ongoing reforms, and added that further activeness is
observed, especially in political discourse and trade and economic
ties.
The interlocutors discussed Armenia-EU relations and also reflected
on several regional and international matters. Nalbandian briefed the
British guest on the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace
process. In his turn, Fraser noted that the UK sees solely a pacific
resolution to this conflict and supports the respective efforts by
the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
