RAFFI HOVANNISIAN: ON SUNDAY FORMING OF NEW GOVERNMENT STARTS

Addressing today's rally, Raffi Hovannisian reminded that 92 years
ago Soghomon Tehleryan took revenge for the Armenian people. He said
today they will not celebrate it today but during tomorrow's rally
they will sing to mark the anniversary of Soghomon Tehleryan's justice.
Raffi Hovannisian thanked for support, noting that hand in hand they
empower and lead to victory. He thanked the journalists who attend
press conferences. He noted that this is the struggle of people and
he is part of this struggle, he is a companion, and he will not take
a single step without people and people will not take a step.
Raffi Hovannisian said he disagrees with lots of opinions expressed
on Freedom Square but this is Freedom Square and everyone has a right
to expression.
Raffi Hovannisian said the Constitutional Court had a chance to pass
a verdict in line with its name but the court failed. "Hence, not only
the executive but also the judicial power, including the Constitutional
Court, must be formed by us the people," Raffi Hovannisian said.
He noted that everyone knows he respects everyone, even his opponents
and competitors but Hrair Tovmasyan, the minister of justice, is
supposed to protect the justice of all Armenians and not a candidate
who led the process of falsifying and stealing victory.
In regard to the municipal election Raffi Hovannisian thinks that
people will take victory from village to village, and power will
belong to people. I will not be the next mayor, he said.
He responded to the president of the EPP Wilfred Martens. "If this
is Europe, we do not need it. I criticized Martens in the previous
conference of the RPA for poking their nose into our affairs," Raffi
Hovannisian noted. He says he told Martens not to repeat his mistake
in the presidential election coming to Armenia, talking about European
values but then becoming part of fraud.
Let the other capitals not teach democracy to Armenia because we have
brought real democracy, he said.
"As soon as Martens' letter becomes the general, institutional,
structural position of the EPP, the Heritage will review its membership
to this false, anti-European organization," Raffi Hovannisian said.
He listed the plans. On March 16 there will be a rock concert on
Freedom Square. The next rally will be next Friday, at 6 o'clock.
He referred to Nikol Pashinyan's proposal on April 9, the inauguration
day. Nikol proposes filling the Republic Square as a signal to Serzh
Sargsyan. On the one hand, the Freedom Square is the square of spirit,
wakening, unity. On the other hand, the Republic Square is the center
of all Armenians. We will make a decision in one of the upcoming
rallies, Raffi Hovannisian said.
