At an open meeting of the civil council on Tuesday, Heritage party
Chairman and ex-presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian stated he
can easily gather people in the square.
"At my press conference I stated that we had no intention to bring
people from villages to vote for us. They will come and bring this
victory on their own will," he said.
"I learn a lot from each meeting. You and people like you must be key
people for our country," Hovannisian said as he introduced former
vice-speaker of Armenia's parliament Karapet Rubinyan and Chairman
of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia Avetik Ishkhanyan.
Mr Ishkhanyan stressed a desire for a rule-of-law state.
According to Mr Hovannisian, "the quality and people in the square
are new Armenia's quality."
However, people holding high posts in Armenia have branded this
quality "satanic." "But Satan belongs to the forces that tried to
steal votes on February 18. But people gained victory over Satan,
so the authorities had better keep silent," Mr Hovannisian said as
he addressed President Serzh Sargsyan.
