Yerevan, 22 March: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan expressed the
confidence that "the future generations of Armenians and Turkish
people will find a new formula of co-existence".
In his address to the participants of the scientific conference on
"Armenian Genocide: Challenges on the Threshold of 100th Anniversary",
Serzh Sargsyan said that cooperation is needed to liquidate the
outcomes of crimes of the past as an important guarantee of restoring
justice to reach the formula, Mediamax reports.
"On the threshold of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,
our further steps, particularly working out the agenda of measures in
various corners of the world and analysis of shortcomings which
liquidation will allow us to organize events devoted to the 100th
anniversary of the Genocide applying more comprehensive and in-depth
approach and their international publicity, are most important," said
Serzh Sargsyan.
The president noted that the history of the Armenian genocide and its
lessons concern not only the history and memory of the Armenian
people, but mainly Turkish state, history and memory of the Turkish
people.
