ZOLYAN SUMMONED TO NATIONAL SECURITY SERVICE

Souren Zolyan, the former Rector of the Yerevan State Lingusitic
University named after V.Brusov, has been summoned to the National
Security Service (NSS).
The newspaper "Chorrord Ishkhanutyun" (The Fourth Power) says that
the NSS is interested in the University's state purchases during
Zolyan's term in office. The thing is that Zolyan bought his sister's
drawings at a very high price with the budget funds and then hung
them at the University. Zolyan, in turn, told journalists that he
really visited the National Security Service and added that no case
has been instituted yet.
To recall, on April 17 Armenian Minister of Education and Science
Armen Ashotyan decreed terminating the 17 March 2008 labor contract
with Souren Zolyan.
