IT IS EASIER TO CONCENTRATE RESOURCES IN YEREVAN
For the Prosperous Armenia Party, it is easier to mobilize its resource
and control the process in Yerevan, so the PAP has decided to run for
mayor, said secretary of the PAP parliamentary group Naira Zohrabyan.
"We say it makes no sense to run in national elections with the
current Electoral Code because we will have the same picture as we
have today in the parliament. In terms of the parliamentary elections,
our main concern is those 41 constituencies. At the very start the
government will have 41 bonuses, so it is meaningless to dwell on equal
competition. In Yerevan, however, it is easier to mobilize resources,"
said Zohrabyan.
Naira Zohrabyan avoided giving an assessment of the PAP activities
during the past years. "It would be right to ask this question to our
professional members of the Council of Elders. My answer will not be
right," she said, adding that their activities are normal.
