in Armenian Schools
15:03, 4 May, 2013
On May 3, 2013, the State Engineering University of Armenia hosted the
`Robotics Day' event. During the event, the `Symotec' company
demonstrated the prototype of educational robot set which design and
production is sponsored by the CRONIMET Charity Foundation. The set
will be provided to 50 Armenian communities within the scope of a
pilot project initiated and implemented by the Union of IT Enterprises
that aims at creating robotics classes in Armenian schools. In the
future it is planned to establish similar classes in all schools of
Armenia.
The educational robot set is considered a basis for robotics classes
at schools. It provides participants with an opportunity to get
necessary knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, programming,
and robot creation.
CRONIMET Charity Foundation contributed about 10 million drams for the
creation of the educational robot prototype.
CRONIMET Charity Foundation has been established in June 2011 having
its main goal of supporting children and people in need throughout the
country. The Founder of the CONIMET Charity Foundation is the German
CRONIMET Mining AG.
