ARF "THE MONOPOLY OF THE AUTHORITIES BECAME STRONGER"

"Unfortunately, this time again we failed to shape a consciousness of
a free citizen executing his choice. We are thankful to the people in
Yerevan who voted in favor of Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Be
sure we know the real value of those votes" in particular is said in
the May 6 statement of ARF dedicated to Yerevan Council of Aldermen
    elections.

Below we present the complete statement.

"We will not retreat from our principled positions.

In May 5 elections, ARF participated with the aim of changing the
moral atmosphere in the country, of inspiring confidence and hope to
    our citizens.

We tried to explain the need for the abolishment of the political
monopoly of the ruling party, and offered an effective management
    program for Yerevan.

We took the campaign faithfully and honestly seeking to give the
people in Yerevan the opportunity of the ideological choice.

Happened what happened. Again the identification of the state and
the ruling party, the infinite use of the administrative resources
and universal election bribed did their job.

The monopoly of the authorities became stronger. Now they have an
opportunity to govern and state and the city alone. We will wait for
the results even though they are predictable for us.

Unfortunately, this time again we failed to shape a consciousness of
a free citizen executing his choice.

We are thankful to the people in Yerevan who voted in favor of
Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Be sure we know the real value of
    those votes.

And to them and all in Yerevan, and all Armenia citizens we promise
that we will not retreat from our principal position, we will not
stop our daily work for radical change in our country, for the sake
freedom and well-being of our citizens. " Author: Factinfo
