military-industrial projects

Azerbaijan has implemented no significant military-industrial
projects, Turkish studies expert Levon Hovsepyan told today's news
conference when commenting on Azerbaijan's military cooperation with a
number of countries.
`Both Azerbaijani and Turkish media stress that Azerbaijan makes
progress in the military-industrial field. But indeed, all this should
be viewed as propaganda. If we consider the data on the sums
Azerbaijan spends on the purchase of armament as well as the country's
military expenditures, we see that Azerbaijan has not implemented any
significant military-industrial projects so far,' Hovsepyan said.
The speaker added that Azerbaijan cooperates with Ukraine, Israel and
its key ally, Turkey, in the military-industrial field but the most
important thing is that this cooperation is mainly limited to the
import of military equipment.
