Activists go on struggling for Yerevan's covered market

A group of people go on holding protests in front of Yerevan's covered market.
`Taron [Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan], have you forgotten your
pledges? Stop disfiguring our monuments,' read the placards in the
protesters' hands.
Artsvi Bakhchiyan, who reminded the Yerevan mayor of his promises,
told Tert.am that the entire building, except for the front, has been
pulled down.
`We are witnessing a destruction of one more masterpiece of
architecture,' he said.
Architect Pavel Jhangirov notes that the interior of the covered
market is unique.
Yerevan's covered market was privatized by Samvel Alexanyan, a member
of Armenia's parliament.
