Protest against expected gas price rise in Armenia's capital (photos, video)

Dozens of people have gathered in front of Armenia's government in
protest at the Armrusgasprom Company's intention to raise the gas
price.
Among the participants are Armen Rustamyan, a member of the Armenian
Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) Gagik Baghdasaryan, a
member of the Barev, Yerevan (Hello, Yerevan) bloc, Armen Poghosyan,
Chairman of the Union of Consumers of Armenia, environmentalists.
The protesters are holding placards reading `Raising gas price in
Secure Armenia - what for?' `Armrusgasprom + RPA = love' `We want the
light of our nuclear-power plant' `Gas price rise will usher in
collapse of ruling regime'.
The Facebook initiative `To prevent gas price rise' calls on Armenia's
citizens to unite and gather in front of the government on Thursday to
protest Armrusgasprom's intention.
Mary Khachatryan, lawyer for the Trchkan civil initiative handed a
letter to Alexander Ghazaryan, Head of the Application Department.
Another protest was held by citizens deceived by the Tonus
Construction Company. They say they paid for flats in the Davitashen-4
neighborhood, but found out that their flats are mortgaged to
Artsakhbank.
The protesters intends to march to the presisdential residence.
