EU Delegation to Armenia invites to Europe Day Information Fair
24-05-2013
The EU Delegation to Armenia has invited everyone to take part in an
open-air public celebration and Information Fair on May 25, organised
in the framework of Europe Day 2013. Around 70 EU-funded projects will
showcase their activities at the fair, in areas such as education,
poverty reduction, trade, youth, culture, environment and others.
`Europe Day in Armenia has become an annual multi-layer event,
representing European cultural diversity and showcasing EU-Armenia
cooperation,' said a press release from the EU Delegation in Yerevan.
The fair will also include cultural activities, workshops, music and
dance representing Greece, Spain, France, Poland, Germany, Romania,
the United Kingdom and Italy.
Europe Day marks the beginning of European integration, which was
prompted by one potent overarching goal - to ensure peace and
stability in Europe, said Traian Hristea, Head of EU Delegation to
Armenia: `Europe Day has become a symbol of peace, unity and common
European values. Europe Day is celebrated also in Armenia and we hope
that all participants of this year's events will learn more about the
EU and EU-Armenia cooperation'.
The Europe Day celebration will culminate with a concert and the
announcement of the winner of this year's Youth Contest `My Scrapbook
of Change,' who will receive a ticket to Europe.
Entrance is free for all public events.
