October 01, 2013 | 16:08
Russia is not exerting pressure on Ukraine, but is using its right
to inform Kiev about the advantages of joining Customs Union and
consequences of EU accession, Russian Speaker Sergey Naryshkin said.
Whatever decision Ukraine makes, Russia will care and worry about
the country, he said answering the questions during the PACE plenary
session on Tuesday, ITAR-TASS reported.
"Russia is not exerting any pressure. The only thing, we have the
right to present comparative information and we use it," he said in
response to a PACE delegate who named Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia
among the states pressed by Russia.
In particular, the delegate noted that Russia is taking measures to
hamper Ukraine's accession to the EU, Interfax reported.
