THIRD FORUM OF ARMENIAN VILLAGE COMMUNITIES OPENS IN JERMUK

The third forum of Armenian village communities opened in Jermuk
on Thursday.
The forum organized by Armenia's Ministry of Territorial Administration
brought together several dozens of heads of village communities,
representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture
and international agencies.
President Serzh Sargsyan and Premier Tigran Sargsyan are expected to
visit the forum that is being held on October 3-5.
Opening the forum, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration
Vache Terteryan said they would discuss a wide range of issues.
Not only heads of the communities, but members of the Councils of
Elders have been invited, Terteryan said, adding that it is important
to increase their role in the local self-government institutions.
The participants will discuss issues on development of small and
medium-sized business, tourism, cattle breeding and other problems.
