The department of tourism and protection of historical environment
adjunct to the NKR government conducted a number of events dedicated
to the international day of tourism.
On the same day the presentation of the Google Earth 3D models of
Stepanakert and Shoushi and of the new video clip with the touristic
potential of Artsakh took place at the office of the department.
Google Earth is a virtual map which enables to get familiarized with
various countries and cities, with all the buildings and streets
in them. As it was reported during the presentation ceremony the
department had done its best for Stepanakert and Shoushi to have their
own places on the map. Henceforth, in spite of all the Azeris' efforts
to misrepresent Artsakh the tourists will have an opportunity to use
the mentioned programme get thoroughly familiarized with our cities.
The buildings of Stepanakert haven't all been included in the programme
so far, but in two weeks it will be completely ready.
The new video clip with the touristic potential of Artsakh, as head
of the department Sergey Shahverdyan assured, is shown on different
Armenian channels and spread via the Internet.
