    EXHIBITION WONDERS OF NATURE: A SELECTION FROM GERARD L. CAFESJIAN COLLECTION TO OPEN AT CAFESJIAN CENTER FOR THE ARTS

    Wonders of Nature: A Selection from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection
    exhibition opens at Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Cafesjian
    Center for the Arts (CCA) on October 3, 2013, at 19:00, CCA reports.

    The Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection has a remarkable collection of
    natural history specimens. The exhibition features quartz beds,
    unique amethyst and citrine geodes, petrified wood and Mara Mamba
    tiger's eye slabs as natural works of art, as well as sculptures and
    decorative works fashioned from natural stone.

    "The Cafesjian Center for the Arts continues to present original
    pieces from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. This exhibition
    provides a unique opportunity to discover marvelous configurations
    of mineral world, as well as experience the interplay of nature's
    creative genius and the human imagination", stated Vahagn Marabyan,
    the Acting Executive Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

    On October 3, CCA's Encounters with Art event will feature the opening
    of Wonders of Nature exhibition. A lecture by Gayane Grigoryan, the
    Director of the Geology Museum of Armenia after Hovhannes Karapetyan of
    National Academy of Sciences will follow the preview of the exhibition.

    Mrs. Grigoryan will make a presentation about the exhibited minerals
    and similar natural miracles of Armenia.

    The admission to the event is free, by prior reservations.

    The exhibition Wonders of Nature will be free of charge on October
    4 and will last till December 29, 2013.

    The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) is dedicated to bringing
    the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of
    Armenian culture to the world. Having celebrated its grand opening
    in November 2009, CCA continues to exhibit unique works of modern
    art, offers a wide variety of exhibitions and a diverse program of
    lectures, films, concerts, and numerous educational initiatives for
    children and adults. Annual attendance at the Cafesjian Center for
    the Arts exceeds 1,000,000 visitors.
