GOVERNMENT REJECTS ANC'S PROPOSAL

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of
Armenia considers unacceptable the proposal of the deputies of the
Armenian National Congress on making restrictions in the activities
of the armed forces during the emergency situations. As reported by
Armenpress, the Government gave a negative conclusion to the draft
submitted by the deputies of the Armenian National Congress Stepan
Demirchyan, Gagik Jangiryan and Aram Manukyan on making amendments
to the law of the Republic of Armenia "On Legal Regime of Emergency
Situation".
The Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Grigor
Muradyan stated: "The involvement of the armed forces in certain
cases during the emergency situations, when the abilities of other
forces are not enough, is acceptable and defined by the Constitution".
