PACE WRONG PLACE FOR SUCH STATEMENTS - ARF-D MP
15:54 04.10.13
Aghvan Vardanyan, an Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun
(ARF-D) parliamentary group member, responded to journalists' question
about the ARF-D's stance on Zaruhi Postanjyan's conduct at PACE.
"I do not think it is a matter or a person the party should condemn.
We have expressed our opinion. We all know Mrs Postanjyan. She is
an Armenian woman, a mother of four, a woman of features. But it was
wrong to make such a state in such a place. We would not let us do it,
but it is her right," Vardanyan said.
The Heritage group is supposed to deal with the matter. It would be
interesting to know the group's stance to understand whether it was
identical to Mrs Postanjyan's.
The country's problems can be raised at international organizations,
but they should be most serious ones, the MP said.
"When our guys were in jails in 1990s, international organizations
made use of the situation, inquired about the situation and we told
them that we ourselves had to resolve our problems. We should not
take steps that may threaten our country," Vardanyan said.
