AHMET DAVUDOGLU: "FOR TURKEY-ARMENIA RAPPROCHEMENT TO HAPPEN, THE OCCUPATION OF AZERBAIJANI TERRITORIES MUST BE ENDED"

Baku - APA. "We attach importance to Turkey-Armenia rapprochement.
However, for long-term rapprochement to happen, the problems in
the South Caucasus, including Karabakh conflict must be settled
and occupation of Azerbaijani territories must be ended", said the
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davudoglu while answering questions of
journalists in Switzerland as 4 years have passed since the protocols
were signed with Armenia, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency.
The Minister thanked to Switzerland for sincere efforts in this issue:
"Four years ago we made serious efforts for successful implementation
of these protocols. We hope these protocols are still on agenda. But
the protocols were not implemented due to the decision passed by the
Armenian Constitutional Court and escalation of tension in the region.
Now we are trying to move forward with some creative ideas and
new thoughts. We will strengthen our efforts. In the context of
Turkey-Armenia rapprochement, of course, along with Azerbaijan-Armenia
relations most of the other problems will also be solved," he said.
