ARMENIAN PATRIARCH HOSTS WORLD MEDIA FORUM PARTICIPANTS

Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II received on Thursday a
delegation of foreign journalists who are in Armenia to attend the
Third World Media Forum.
The patriarch highly praised the organizers, noting that the initiative
will help to develop and strengthen ties between different nations,
reports the Holy See of St Echmiadzin's press service.
He briefed the guests on the Mother See's special mission to assist
in the preservation and shaping of the Armenian national identity.
Responding to the guests' questions, the catholicos also dwelled on
the church's services in the social sector and its efforts towards
assisting in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The delegation was led by Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and
Director of the Asia Journalists Media Congress Ashot Jazoyan.
