ARMENIAN PRESIDENT AND NATO SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE DISCUSS COOPERATION

YEREVAN. -President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday received
NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for South Caucasus
and Central Asia James Appathurai.
The sides hailed effective cooperation with NATO in all areas, noting
that the political dialogue with the Alliance continues.
James Appathurai highly appreciated Armenia's participation in the
peacekeeping operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan.
The President and NATO official shared the view that the current level
of relations testifies to deep and all-embracing agenda formed as a
result of Armenia-NATO cooperation. This helps improve and modernize
Armenia's defense and security, they added.
