ARMENIA VERY LIKELY TO INK DEAL WITH EU - REPUBLICAN MP

A lawmaker of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia said Thursday
that he expects Armenia to sign a document with the EU at the Eastern
Partnership's November summit in Vilnius.
Speaking to reporters, Koryun Nahapetyan explained that the Armenia-EU
negotiations continue today in different formats despite President
Serzh Sargsyan's September 3 statement expressing Armenia's willingness
to join the Eurasian Customs Union.
"The EU officials have not said no document will be signed. A concrete
document reaffirming the outcomes of the negotiations will be probably
be signed. As to what content it will have, that's a different matter,"
he said, when asked to comment on recent statements made by different
EU officials.
Nahapetyan said that document will not be the political component
of the association agreement or the other document (on deep and
comprehensive free trade area).
