SEYRAN OHANIAN: WE ARE READY TO WITHDRAW SNIPERS

Armenia is ready to withdraw its snipers from the line of contact
with the Azerbaijani armed forces, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran
Ohanian stated at the meeting with the faculty and students of Yerevan
State University today.
"We are ready to withdraw snipers and we are not afraid of that. In
case of any shot fired from the opposite side, we will again deploy
our snipers on frontline positions within a matter of minutes for
retaliatory strikes," the minister said.
He at the same time stressed that the withdrawal of snipers cannot be a
result of unilateral pressure. "This step should be taken by both sides
and be aimed at creating an atmosphere of trust," Seyran Ohanian said.
