YEREVAN, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS. After the landslide, which occurred in
Georgia's Darial Gorge, the Georgian authorities continue the cleaning
works. It will take at least two weeks to fully restore the traffic on
the Upper Lars-Kazbegi road. As reports "Armenpress", in reference to
"Georgia Online", this was stated by the representative of the
Government of Georgia.
Two people, citizens of Georgia and Turkey, who were involved in the
construction of hydroelectric power plant near the Darial Gorge, were
declared missing in the result of the landslide. The state bodies
report that a human body was drifted to the territory of Russia by the
river Terek, who supposedly is the missing citizen of Turkey.
Expertise is underway to determine the precise identity.
