ARMENIA NOT TO JOIN EEU ON JAN 1, 2015 - VAHRAM TER-MATEVOSYAN

Russian-Belarusian disagreements could afford Armenia a good
opportunity to get something from Russia.
However, Armenia remains on the sidelines, following the developments,
Vahram Ter-Matevosyan, Program Executive, Integration against
Security. A study of reasons for Armenia's decision in favor of the
Eurasian Economic Union program, Norwegian Institute of International
Affairs (NUPI), told reporters on Thursday.
Asked if Belarus and Kazakhstan will ratify the treaty on Armenia's
accession to the EEU, Mr Ter-Matevosyan said:
"Similar developments surround Kazakhstan. I think a certain agreement
was reached and Belarus and Kazakhstan will ratify. I feel that
Armenia will not become an EEU member from January 1, 2015. It may
happen later. And it will contain a political message because Belarus
and Kazakhstan do not always accept Russia's plans."
