Nagorno-Karabakh agricultural sector shows progress despite bad year

This year has not been good for Nagorno-Karabakh's agricultural
sector, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic (NKR) Tigran Arstamyan told Tert.am.
"The yield is not so good because of a long-lasting drought, but we
have not lost anything during the harvest," he said. The government
has provided fertilizers and seeds to farmers this year.
"We are recording an increase in the head of cattle except for swine.
The reason is low-interest loans given by the government," Mr
Arstamyan said.
He also pointed out an increase in live-stock yield and milk yield.
