"If Azerbaijan continues its provocations and attempts to unleash
a new war, the aftermaths will be disastrous for Baku. Azerbaijan
on its bended knees will be asking for truce like it did in 1994,"
General Manvel Grigoryan, President of Yerkrapah Volunteer Union,
told ArmInfo when commenting on the Wednesday shot down of an unarmed
helicopter by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
"On your bended knees you will be asking for truce, but this time
the military actions will be in Baku," General Grigoryan said. He
assured ArmInfo that all the veterans of the Karabakh War stand ready
to defend Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh again if necessary.
To recall, a helicopter MI-24 of the NKR Armed Forces with three
officers on board was shot down Wednesday at about 1:45 PM local
time while making a training flight in the air space of the eastern
part of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and
Azerbaijan. The Azeri serviceman that shot down the helicopter has
been awarded a medal.
