ARMENIA TO JOIN EEU AGREEMENT ON UNIFORM VEHICLE PASSPORT LAYOUT
YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. Armenia's government backed the proposal
to join the agreement about uniform passport layout for vehicles
and e-passport system that was signed between EEU member-countries,
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, in August 2014 in Moscow.
The head of Armenia's police Vladimir Gasparyan said Armenia is
expected to sign the agreement on November 21-22 in Ashgabat.
The agreement will enable the country cooperating with Customs Union
member states in production and maintenance of vehicle in a more
efficient manner, Gasparyan said.
The agreement sets procedures for use of uniform passports and
e-passport system for vehicles manufactured or subject to registration
within the EEU area.
Vehicle e-passport procedures, rules of arrangement and the layout
are defined by the Eurasian Economic Commission. -0--
