Market of 170 Million Consumers Closed Before Armenia

The road in Upper Lars is closed and may not open until spring. It is
due to bad weather. In addition, in other seasons of the year the road
collapses often, and ostensibly the road will collapse more frequently
in 2015 due to global warming, the geopolitical conjuncture and other
    causes.

Note that this is the only road connecting Armenia with Russia, i.e.
the Eurasian Union. This happens every year, this is not something
new, as the Armenian Eurasianists would put it.

However, this is not the only problem of the "market of 170 million
consumers" of the Eurasian Union. While the middlemen and minstrels of
the Eurasian Economic Union are praising the "market of 170 million
consumers" opening up for Armenia, new problems and circumstances are
opening up, and beside these problems the road of Upper Lars will be
    an excuse and a scapegoat.

The point is that the "market of 170 million consumers" closed for
Armenia before it would open. The market closed on January 2, the day
when Armenia officially joined the Eurasian Economic Union. The point
is that the EEU is not an economic project at least with regard to
Armenia and has a different purpose, and on January 2 the start of
implementation of this purpose was announced.

What is the purpose? In general terms, the purpose is to legitimize
stripping Armenia of sovereignty and turning its territory to a
lodgment ahead of upcoming geopolitical upheavals through which Russia
hopes to retain its military and political presence in the South
    Caucasus.

As to the economic aspect, the "market of 170 million consumers" was
open for Armenia until January 2 under agreements, including bilateral
agreements, as well as the agreement on free trade area of CIS. In
addition, the Chinese market of one billion, Indian market of one
billion, EU market of 500 million consumers and other markets were
open for Armenia. Armenia is a member of the World Trade Organization
and the markets of the whole world were open to it.

After January 2 only a miserable market of "170 million consumers" is
left which is being torn apart by the financial and economic
catastrophe in Russia, serious controversies among the members of the
Eurasian Economic Union, drastic decline of trade among the member
states of the Eurasian Economic Union, de-integration gathering
momentum in the EEU and others.

In fact, there is no such market any more, its members Belarus and
Kazakhstan have started looking for new markets and they are rather
successful. This market is similar to the Armenian economy which has
almost nothing to offer and the "elites" of which are used to live a
parasitic life on foreign assistance and imports.

The Western financial organizations saved Armenia from a disaster in
December but apparently something will happen on January 12 which will
demonstrate to everyone the severe reality.
